Cozy Desk: Sort and Collect is a relaxing sorting puzzle about putting small, pretty objects where they belong. The game opens with a letter from Mrs. Hana Mori, and once you open it you are sitting at a warm wooden desk covered with stamps, coins, gears, shells, stones, candy and stationery. Nothing is chasing you: there is no countdown, no fail state and no need to rush. You pick an object up, drop it in the right place, and watch it snap neatly into position.
The loop is simple enough to learn in a few seconds, which is exactly why it works as a short break game. A calm soundtrack, soft wooden surfaces and tidy animations do most of the work, so clearing a level feels like tidying a real drawer rather than grinding through a puzzle.
Each level hands you a scattered pile of objects and a small number of targets. In the first level, for example, eleven items are spread across the desk — six postage stamps and five coins — and two labelled boxes sit above them, one for stamps and one for coins. The counter at the top tracks your progress, so you always know how close the desk is to being clear.
Later desks mix in other collectibles from the same world: gears, shells, pebbles, candy and office bits such as paper clips. The objects are drawn in a warm, hand-crafted style, and every correct placement gives a small, satisfying click.
Sorting in Cozy Desk: Sort and Collect comes in two flavours. In box levels you drag each object into the container that matches its category — stamps in the stamp tray, coins in the coin tray, and so on. In sheet levels you match objects to their outlines: a printed silhouette tells you the exact shape that still belongs on the page, and the item slides into place when you find it.
Switching between the two keeps the game from feeling repetitive. Box levels are about quick classification; sheet levels are closer to a jigsaw, because you have to compare shapes instead of names.
There are no keyboard controls to learn. Everything is drag and drop, which makes the game equally comfortable with a mouse and on a touchscreen.
Clearing a level pays out coins, and coins unlock collectible figurines inspired by Japan. These figures are the long-term goal: they fill a shelf of their own, so every tidy desk adds something to the collection you are building.
If you lose track of where an object should go, the hint button on the desk will point you at a valid spot. The booster slot beside it starts with three uses and helps when the desk looks hopelessly mixed up. Both are there to keep the game gentle — you are never forced to restart a level because you got stuck.
Cozy Desk: Sort and Collect is an HTML5 game, so it runs directly in the player on this page — no install, no account and no separate download. The layout is portrait, which suits phones and tablets, while desktop players get a tall desk in the middle of the screen with room for the pause button, the hint counter and the progress tracker.
The game ships with English, Russian, Turkish and Japanese text. On SpeedStars it loads in English by default, so the letter, the box labels and the tips all read in English from the first level.
If you enjoy sorting puzzles, this one is worth a few minutes: it is calm, it looks lovely, and it turns a messy desk into a tidy collection one object at a time.
Yes. The game runs free in your browser on SpeedStars, and you can sort levels without paying to start playing.
No. It is an HTML5 game that loads inside this page, so it starts on desktop, tablet or phone without an install.
There is no countdown. A level waits for you, so you can study the desk, plan where each object belongs and finish at your own pace.
The hint button points out a spot for an item you are stuck on, and the booster next to it helps when the desk looks unsorted. Both start with three uses on a fresh save.
Yes. The desk is built in portrait and uses drag and drop, so a touchscreen works the same way as a mouse.
