Ghost Hunt: Spirit Scanner is a first-person 3D detection game: sweep each room with a scanner, expose the spirit hiding among the furniture and the people, then take it out before moving on.
Ghost Hunt: Spirit Scanner drops you into a stocked 3D interior with one paranormal problem to solve. A spirit has taken the place of somebody or something in the room, so the furnishings, the props and even the people are all potential suspects. Your job is to work out which one it is, confirm it with a scanner, and destroy it before the assignment counts as cleared.
The order of operations is what makes this game different from a straight shooter. Shooting first gets you nothing, because the ghost will not show itself while it is still blended into the room. Sweep the scanner across a candidate object or person and hold the read; when the reading comes back clean of anything supernatural you can move on, and when it confirms a presence, the disguise is broken and the target finally becomes something you can deal with.
That means a lot of the challenge is visual: spotting the detail that does not belong, then keeping the scanner on it long enough for the reading to resolve. Portal write-ups describe the same loop of detection, weapon upgrades and room clearing, and Y8 files the game under hidden object and puzzle rather than as a pure shooter — which matches how much of the session is spent looking rather than firing.
Every cleared room pays out, and the rewards feed three separate tracks: the hand you use to handle objects, the scanner that does the searching, and the weapon you use on a revealed spirit. None of the three makes the others obsolete, so the interesting decision is which one is currently holding you back — a slow scanner means more time spent aiming, a weak weapon means a longer fight once the ghost is exposed.
Desktop play uses the mouse only: hold the left mouse button and guide the pointer to look around, aim the scanner and pick a target. On phones and tablets the same actions are done by swiping across the screen. The game is laid out for portrait mobile play and the distributor lists iOS and Android browser support alongside desktop, so it is worth going full screen if the room feels cramped.
Assignments are short rather than chapter-length, which is why the game works well as a browser break: one room, one ghost, then back out. The presentation is stylised rather than gruesome — the distributor tags it 3D, ghost, killer and hunting, and separately describes it as kids-friendly with no blood. Interface languages are English and Russian. It was published by Prime Web Publish, the same team that portal sites credit as PRIME and PrimeWeb.
If a scan feels like it is going nowhere, resist the urge to shoot at everything. Re-read the room, think about which object or figure is behaving like it belongs there, and put the scanner on that. The reveal is the point, and the weapon is only the closing move.
It is a short, room-based 3D hunting game built around detection rather than exploration. Each level is one interior to search: you inspect the people and props, use a scanner to confirm which one is a disguised spirit, and then eliminate it.
The game is published by Prime Web Publish, the studio name credited on the GameDistribution listing. Portal write-ups credit the same team as PRIME and PrimeWeb.
Mouse and touch do the same job. On desktop, hold the left mouse button and drag to look around, aim the scanner and select a target. On mobile and tablet, swipe to move your view, scan the room and interact with objects. Taking a full screen view first makes aiming easier.
Yes. The distributor marks it compatible with iOS and Android browsers as well as desktop, and the game was built with a portrait mobile layout in mind. Nothing needs to be downloaded or installed.
It is free to play and starts straight in the browser through an on-page embed, with no download, install or launcher involved.
The distributor lists English and Russian interface languages.
The premise is paranormal, but the presentation is cartoon-like rather than graphic. The distributor's own keywords describe the game as 3D, kids-friendly and no-blood.
The game is split into short, individual room assignments rather than a long campaign, so it suits a few quick clears at a time. Upgrading your scanner and weapon is what speeds up later assignments.
